Upon request, library staff will provide a limited number of copies of non-restricted materials for out-of-town customers. Up to 5 names per request may be submitted for obituaries or death certificates. Exact citations are needed. Subsequent requests for copies should be made only after copies from a previous request have been received.
Copies sent by email: No charge
Copies sent by postal mail: $1 per printed page. 1-5 printed pages will be mailed with an invoice. Requests requiring the copying of more than 5 printed pages will require prepayment and a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Customers should withhold payment until being notified of the actual number of pages printed and the amount due.
The W-TCPL reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if in our judgement, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of the copyright law.
Staff will attempt to send copies within one week of receipt of request.
Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions:
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.
Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use", that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of the copyright law.
