The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library links people and ideas by providing resources and services to all members of the community.
WE BELIEVE
Access to information and ideas in all forms is a fundamental right of individuals in a democratic society and that such knowledge empowers them.
That children are our future and the library should assist them to grow and develop by providing materials in many formats.
That fundamental to any library's mission is the preservation of our past, enhancement of the present and enrichment of the future.
The library has a role in promoting literacy, which provides people opportunity to participate in informed decision-making.
In the Library Bill of Rights which promotes intellectual freedom.
In the encouragement of life long learning.
Access to our library's services and resources should not be restricted in any way by the user's age, class, race or gender.
THE WARREN-TRUMBULL COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY IS THEREFORE COMMITTED TO
Providing current popular reading, viewing and listening materials to satisfy the recreational and general information needs of all ages.
Providing a materials collection in a variety of formats which addresses the general needs of all customers.
Providing a variety of services and materials in multiple formats for young children together with accompanying adults to encourage the love of reading and learning.
Having the main library serve as a reference resource for the system with accurate, timely information to meet the general educational needs of adults and students through grade twelve.
Providing the expertise of professional librarians to oversee library services and collection development.
Linking with community resources and library-specific resources (NEO-RLS, OPLIN, OLC) to enrich the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library's services.
Outreach to new and underserved constituents and communities.
