Magic Carpet Theatre performances March 13

 

11 a.m.  -  Howland Branch Library

2 p.m.  -  Main Library

 

Children and their families are invited to attend one of two performances of “The Day Miranda Met the Mermaid” at Warren-Trumbull County Public Library locations on Saturday, March 13.

 

At 11 a.m., players with Magic Carpet Theatre will perform at the Howland Branch Library. At 2 p.m., they will repeat their performance at the Main Library in Warren

 

The play is a tale about the importance of recycling and features costumes made from recycled materials.

 

The acting troupe is the touring division of the Youngstown-based Oakland Center for the Arts, specializing in bringing literature “from the page to the stage.”

 

Reservations are not required. 

 

This presentation is supported by the Warren Library Association through its Stanley Hart Fund.

 

 


 

  

America’s Parks

At the Howland Branch Library

 

Learn about significant features preserved from the past through stunning visual examples of geological history, natural history, and human history at state and national parks.

 

Jeffrey Eling, the Howland Library Branch Manager, will present the program. Eling edited and compiled many early narratives of exploration of Yellowstone and other western regions in the book First to the Parklands: Original Narratives from the History of Western Exploration.
