Baby Time - A lively program of rhymes, songs, stories and play for ages 6 to 18 months. Offered every other Friday morning.
Music & Movement - For the child who is 19-35 months old, these story times for toddler and caregiver are held on Wednesdays. This 30-minute program features rhymes, movement with streamers and scarves, and use of rhythm instruments while helping to promote a positive adult-child interaction.
Preschool Story Time - This theme-based story time for preschoolers is held on Tuesdays for 3 to 5 year olds and Thursdays for 2 to 5 year olds. Each program highlights early literacy skills, music, and a craft.
Patio Pals for ages 6-12 - An outdoor series held on the Children's Patio on the library's south side- rain or shine. Participants enjoy games, crafts, gardening, science and nature activities.
Special Events - Special one-time only events, including performing arts presentations, book parties, and contests are offered throughout the year for all ages.
Summer Reading Program - Reading incentive program and programs are offered every year. Encourage the love of books and keep up reading skills during the summer months!
The Main Library Children's Department has two multimedia CD-ROM stations with educational games for ages 3 to 12.
Four Internet stations for ages 6 to 12 are also available. Word processing and printing is available for homework needs.
