You can take a class at the library!
The following classes are offered to library customers at no charge. Class sizes may be limited; call to register.
Computer Classes
At the Main Library
The following computer classes are held in the Thomas Room on the 2nd floor of the Main Library.
Both classes offer the novice computer user plenty of hands-on experience and a one-on-one learning situation.
INTRO TO COMPUTERS
Students will learn basic skills needed to run a Windows based computer. The first part of the class will teach individuals how to operate a mouse with ease and confidence. The second part of the class will create a foundation of basic computer skills that the user will have for future training.
This session is for new users wishing to learn how to operate a computer with Windows XP. Please note: Signups for each month's classes will begin the last week of the previous month. Call (330) 399-8807 ext. 406 to register.
INTRO TO THE INTERNET
Get started on your journey into cyberspace!
Students will use Internet Explorer 7.0 as they cover:
- Web Surfing
- Internet Search Engines (such as Google)
- Sending and receiving Electronic Mail (email)

At the Branch Libraries
One-on-one computer classes may be available at the branch libraries. Contact a library branch manager to schedule a personalized class.
Local History & Genealogy Class
This free beginners’ class in genealogy research and problem-solving techniques will help you learn how to use library materials and other resources as you research your family tree.
Held at the Local History & Genealogy Center located on the second floor of the Main Library.
