Brookfield Library to Celebrate 40th Anniversary

(2/1/2022) – The Brookfield branch of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 7032 Grove St., will mark its 40th anniversary with an Open House celebration between 1 – 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26 at the library.

The community is invited to drop by the library for crafts, games, and other fun activities for all ages; giveaways; a photo display; and a Friends of the Brookfield Library Book Sale.

The Brookfield Library opened in February 1982, the second branch of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library system.

The library occupied several rented storefront locations before moving into a new 2,000 square foot library-owned facility in February 1990. The branch expanded in 1999, adding a 2,800 square foot addition.

The library underwent additional renovations in 2016, increasing its size from 4,800 to 5,900 square feet and adding a public meeting room with a ceiling mounted projector and screen. Other improvements included additional shelving, furnishings, and parking spaces.

The library offers a wide selection of information and entertainment options to customers in print and digital formats. Library cardholders may borrow books, DVDs, music CDs, audiobooks, and magazines and can access electronic resources including eBooks, eAudiobooks, and digital music and movies.

Internet-accessible computers are available for public use at the library, and free WiFi is also available at the library for personal computers & devices.

A variety of storytimes, guest presentations, and events for all ages are offered at the library throughout the year.
