Celebrating National Library Week April 4 – 10, 2021

(04/1/2021) – April 4 – 10, 2021 is National Library Week, a time to highlight the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening communities. The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library invites all community members to join in this year’s theme of “Welcome to Your Library,” which promotes the idea that libraries extend far beyond four walls of a building and that everyone is welcome to use their services.

Libraries offer opportunities to explore new worlds through access to technology, multimedia content, and educational programs. Whether people visit in-person or virtually, libraries are accessible and inclusive places that foster a sense of belonging and community through learning, discovery, and exploration.

Actress, author, and activist Natalie Portman is the honorary chair of National Library Week 2021.

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries of all types across the country each April.

Annually celebrated during National Library Week, National Library Outreach Day highlights the invaluable role libraries continue to play in bringing materials and services to all members of the community.
