“Find the Library at Your Place” this National Library Week

(04/19/20) – April 19-25, 2020 is National Library Week, a time to highlight the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening communities. The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library invites all community members to join in this year’s theme to “Find the Library at Your Place” by accessing virtual services and resources through the library website at www.wtcpl.org.

While the library’s physical spaces may be temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, library cardholders can discover digital materials and online services available 24/7 from home. Digital content such as e-Books, e-Magazines, e-Audiobooks, and digital movies, music, comics, and television episodes can be borrowed with a free library card. Digital content can be streamed or downloaded to a personal e-Reader, smartphone, or tablet at no cost through dedicated apps or through the library website.

Olympic medalists Maia and Alex Shibutani, a.k.a. the ShibSibs, are National Library Week Honorary Chairs and want everyone to know that they think libraries are amazing!

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries of all types across the country each April.
