Summer Reading Kick-Off Party & Barnyard Petting Zoo
Kick off your summer with a live animal petting zoo featuring bunnies, a pot belly pig, lambs, a calf, goats, a tortoise, a box turtle, and an alpaca! The Barn Yard Petting Zoo will bring a variety of small animals to the library parking lot for all ages to visit. Crafts, activities, and refreshments courtesy of the Friends of the Howland Library will also be available. Kids can pick up a Summer Reading Challenge Log to track reading and learning, and teens and adults can find out how to read for fun and prizes this summer, too! (Rain date for this outdoor event is June 18.) No registration necessary. Free!
