Find what you are looking for
The Library’s Online Catalog
The search box at the top center of the library’s website takes you to the library’s catalog. The catalog is your gateway to the books, movies, music, and other materials you can borrow through the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library.
The catalog can search the entire system or an individual branch, with several features to help you identify items of interest. The catalog allows you to find what you need quickly and discover new authors and interests.
The catalog shows you the items available at Warren-Trumbull County Public Library locations plus offers you the opportunity to borrow items from other libraries throughout Ohio and pick them up at your favorite W-TCPL location.
To Search the Library’s Catalog:
1. Simply type in what you are searching for (for example, art or James Patterson or the Civil War) and click the arrow button.
2. All the library items related to that search will come up on the screen, with the most relevant answers at the top.
3. To narrow your results, you can select from the options at the left of your screen, such as “Availability” (if you need the item right now); “Format” (if you are looking for a specific type of item such as a book and not a video, or only large type books); or “Location” (if you want an item that is available from a specific library).
4. If you see an item you are interested in, you can click “Add to cart” to add the title to your virtual book cart so you can easily go back to the item when you are done searching. Or if you know you would like to request the item, you can click “Request it” to place a hold on the item.
Additional Search Options
If the W-TCPL does not have the item, try using the SearchOhio option to see if the item is available to borrow from another library in our large network of Ohio libraries.
If you are still unable to locate the item, you can request assistance with an Interlibrary Loan search.
