Liberty Library Welcomes New Branch Manager

(05/15/2023) – Rhonda Monroe has joined the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library system as manager of the Liberty Library, 415 Churchill-Hubbard Road in Youngstown.

Monroe replaces former branch manager Renee Cambier, who retired from the W-TCPL at the end of April.

In her new position, Monroe is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Liberty Library, including circulation activities, supervisory duties, programs, and collection maintenance.

“I look forward to working with the Liberty community and helping patrons access all of the free programming and services the library offers in addition to our books, movies, and online resources,” she said.

Monroe earned her Master of Library and Information Science degree from Kent State University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Development from the University of Cincinnati. She is a member of the Ohio Library Council and is on the OLC Expo planning committee.

Monroe was most recently a branch supervisor with the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County and prior to that worked as a youth librarian.
