Warren-Trumbull County Public Library Offers Digital Resources Accessible From Home

(03/30/20) – The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library offers library cardholders free access to digital materials and online services available 24/7 from home.

Digital content such as e-Books, e-Magazines, e-Audiobooks, and digital movies, music, comics, and television episodes can be borrowed with a free library card. Click here to begin the registration process for a library card online.

Digital content can be streamed or downloaded to a personal e-Reader, smartphone, or tablet at no cost through dedicated apps or through the library website at www.wtcpl.org.

Cardholders can choose from thousands of titles offered through the library’s partner services such as OverDrive, Cloud Library, hoopla, Flipster, and RB Digital. Online storybooks, comics, and graphic novels designed especially for young readers and their parents can be accessed through the library’s TumbleBooks and Scholastic BookFlix services.

Free access to several online learning platforms for students, adult learners, and small businesses is also offered through the library website. Databases, videos, tutorials, and research guides on topics ranging from math and science to business and health to motor vehicle and home repair are offered. The LearningExpress Library platform features online tutorials, practice tests, and e-books for students of all ages. More than 50,000 online training videos are available through Hoonuit, an online database of tutorials covering popular Microsoft, Apple, Adobe, and Google software programs.

Mango Languages is an easy-to-use foreign language learning system that allows users to track their progress in more than 70 languages through a dedicated app or the library website.

The library system’s Local History & Genealogy Center maintains a variety of online research materials on the library website as well as a digital photo archive. Access to genealogy research sites including Ancestry Library Edition, African American Heritage, and other sites is offered for those interested in researching their family tree.
