Local History & Genealogy Center to Temporarily Close Nov. 1

(10/18/2021) – The Local History & Genealogy Center located on the second floor of the Warren Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW, will temporarily close Nov. 1 for several months.

This closure is necessary so that renovation work can be completed to the second floor of the library. Work began in April 2021 on a building expansion and renovation project at the library that will increase the building’s size from 58,029 sq. ft. to about 72,000 sq. ft. Sections of the current building are also being renovated to better support the library’s increasing technology needs and the need for more flexible spaces and meeting rooms.

During the closure, Local History & Genealogy Center staff will be available to assist customers virtually with questions about their family history research. Requests for information can be submitted through a Research Request Form found on the library website at www.WTCPL.org.

The library website also includes many digitized genealogy resources, including access to Ancestry: Library Edition.

The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library includes libraries in Brookfield, Cortland, Howland, Liberty, Lordstown, and Warren; a Bookmobile; and Library-By-Mail service.
