History of the Brookfield Library

The Brookfield Library opened in February 1982, the second branch of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library.

The library occupied several rented storefront locations before moving into a new 2,000 square foot library-owned facility in February 1990.

The branch expanded in 1999, adding a 2,800 square foot addition.

The library underwent additional renovations in 2016, increasing its size from 4,800 to 5,900 square feet and adding a public meeting room with a ceiling mounted projector and screen. Other improvements included additional shelving, furnishing, and parking spaces.
