Warren Library Now Offering Afterschool Snack Program

(10/11/2022) – The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library is partnering with Children’s Hunger Alliance to provide afterschool snacks to children in grades K – 12 at the Warren Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW.

Snacks are provided at the library to children and teens between 3:30 – 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday during the school year, including holiday breaks.

The snack must be consumed at the library but is free to all participants and requires no sign up.

Snacks will be served in the Warren Library Program Room located on the first floor between KidSpace and Teen Central.

According to the Children’s Hunger Alliance, over 400,000 children across Ohio live in food-insecure households.

“We saw this need in our community and knew the library could help children bridge the gap between meals,” said Warren-Trumbull County Public Library Youth Services Manager Lori Faust. “We are happy that any child visiting the library after school will have the opportunity to have a healthy snack.”

For more information about the program, call the Warren Library Youth Services Department at (330) 399-8807 ext. 206 or visit www.wtcpl.org.
